48 Hour Film Project – Detroit

Detroit, MI

About

Part of the international 48 Hour Film Project, the Detroit edition challenges local filmmaking teams to write, shoot, and edit a complete short film in just 48 hours. Each team draws a genre, receives a required character, prop, and line of dialogue, then races against the clock to deliver a finished film. Founded globally in 2001, the competition has grown to include over 130 cities worldwide. Top films from Detroit compete at Filmapalooza, the annual festival showcasing the best entries, with potential selection for the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner.
